there comes a point where every person reaches their limit. I think this is mine.

Chapter 1: Little Miss Angel

It was just like any other night, I was riding my bike as fast as I can. The crisp wind feels good on my skin. After a day's work in the office it just feels nice to be outside. Drifting along my usual way home, I heard a loud thud in the back of an alley and for some reason I had to stop and take a look what it was. I hopped off my bike and I couldnt believe what I saw. A girl, about 6 years old laying on top of a garbage dump. It was such a strange sight as I walked closer and saw that her dress was a vivid white. I stared at her face that was almost doll-like. Perfect curls and long lashes. Every parent's dream of what a daughter should look like. She was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I can't posibly leave her in such a place, knowing the streets of Pasay my conscience will hunt me forever if I did. I tapped her on the arm and I was startled, she was burning hot. Poor baby, I thought to myself. Who would leave you in such a place? I picked her up and held her gently.

The rain started to fall, thankfully we're almost home now. I turned the corner and we're finally here. I left my bike on the front lawn and carefully shifted the little girl's weight to my right arm as I struggled to unlock the door. Ignoring the mud on my shoe I quickly laid her down on the sofa and dashed to my room to get some dry towel. I wrapped it around her and I couldn't help but look at the little girl's face. She was so.. so peaceful. Almost like a baby's. So innocent. I was startled when I realized she was looking right at me. "Hello." her voice was almost a bell that rang. "He-Hello yourself" I said flustered. "Where am I?" she said "In my house" I had no idea what to say. "I'm thirsty." she whispered "Oh - okay. I'll get you some water. Stay right there." She nodded.

Well that was weird. But she is something else. I was walking back to the sala when I noticed she wasn't on the sofa anymore. I looked around but she wasn't in the room. She wasn't in the bathroom or kitchen either. I went upstairs and found her in my room. Wearing my old t-shirt of E-heads. "My dress was dirty. I Borrowed this. Is it okay?" She was expecting an answer "Sure.. i guess" and then she did it. She gave me the biggest, cutest most adorable smile I have ever seen. "Thank you kuya!" She exclaimed still smiling. "Here's your water" "Oh thank you! I'm so thirsty!" I watched her as she drank the whole glass "Are you hungry?" "Yes please!" She answered as fast as she can. "Okay let's go downstairs and I'll fix you something to eat" "Yes please!" again with that smile of hers.

Chapter 2: Project Make Kuya Happy

It's been nearly 2 weeks now since I found Angel. I decided to call her that beause that's what she's been to me. A little angel. I've been trying to ask her what her real name is or where she's from or who her parents are but she keeps on saying she doesn't have a name, she doesn't have a home and she has not parents. After 2 weeks of trying to trick her into telling me, I decided to stop for now. *Knock Knock Knock* "Yes?" "Sir you have a visitor" "Let me guess? Is it a little dwarf with a big grin on her face?" "Hmpf!! I am not a dwarf Kuya!" Angel said with her lips pursed "Oh, What are you doing here again duwende? I told you to stay downstairs and play with the other kids diba?" "But the are so boring! I'd rather stay here with Ate Nina!" rolling her eyes and crossing her arms "Alright alright but if I hear one complaint from Nina you are never going to be allowed upstairs okay?" I looked at Nina who was brushing her fingers through Angel's hair "Nina is it okay if Angel stays with you? She can be quite a hand-full" "No problem sir Vince, Angel is such a behaved little girl." Angel hearing what Nina said was all smiles "See kuya? I'm well-behaved!" I just chuckled and snorted "Whatever miss dwende" "hmpft!!" she closed the door half smiling with her tongue out.

Angels in Manila

If an angel falls in the streets of Manila one day I wonder what she'll do..
I wonder how people may react.. will they be warm and show her kindness or will they devour her and take advantage?

If an angel shows up on your doorsteps what would you do?
will you drive her away and curse ludacris or might even sue?

People need something to believe in.. yet we don't give the benefit of the doubt.
We always question but never listen
We yearn but we do not push through..

Angels are the very image of love.. selflessness.. devotion
if you could tame them will you?
even if you knew that the world needs someone to be there for it too..

It's 5 in the morning and I am having some serious cravings for a Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Doughnut... super yummy..

I mean would you look at that glorious glaze??! INSANE!

This was something I wrote just for fun (I think). Typical girl likes the jerk-of-a-guy but ends up with the "other guy". For all the other guys out there, who has been patiently waiting for that girl to notice your undying devotion.. this one goes out to you.. one day she'll realize that you are everything she needed and more <3

"Ang tagal naman.."

Naiinip na ako at hilong talelong na sa gutom, he’s still not here.

"One hour late na ah!"

"Sister naman kasi sabi ko sayo mauna na tayo, wala na tayong aabutan don! Tinawagan mo na ba si papa Jake?"

"Oo kaya! lowbat n nga ako kakatawag e!"

I glanced at Pat fixing his eyeliner, sayang ‘tong lalakeng to. Ke`gwapo gwapo bumaluktot. Sabay tawa ko.

"Nako bakla pinagnanasaan mo nanaman ako! Rape! Raape! Bwahaha"

Natatawa akong tinakpan ang bibig niya.

"Eskandalosa ka talaga!"

"Eh pano ba naman at-- ay eto na pala ang bongga! Jakey! nako bakit ngayon ka lang!" Patakbong lumapit si Jake

"Sorry ngayon lang ako, kanina pa ba kayo?"

"Ay obvious ba!"

Pat said with the Madam Claudia look on his face.

"Si Gen kasi e, nagpasama sa G4 akala ko saglit lang nagbrowse pa ng books e.."

"Gen Gen Gen Gen..puro ka gen papa Jakey!"

"Pat naman.."

"Ay nako nasira na`ng mood ko sayo! Let's go mga bakla sayang ang gabi - dala ko ang korona!"

As if I swallowed my tongue I kept to myself till we were halfway through Jake’s car,

Eh kaya naman pala..kasama nanaman si Gen. Yang babaeng yan namumuro na talaga sakin e. Kakalbuhin ko na yan.

"Andy, ano sama ka pa ba? Tumawag si Rap nandun daw si HELGA mo hahaha"

I tried to fake a smile,

"Really? OMG OMG OMG Patrocinyo! Ayusan mo ko! Si HELGA nandon!"

Sumagot si Pat while fixing his mascara

"Bakla maganda ka na. Akin ang korona."

and let out a chuckle.

Jake pulled over Bianx's house, ang ingay. ang daming tao. Hinanap ko agad si Bianx...spotted!

"Bakla!"

Bianx smiled - she was drunk - actually they're all drunk.

"DUUDE! bakit ngayon lang kayo? hahaha"

I looked at her

"bakit lasing ka na?! haha"

I said mocking her.

"LECHE! haha pumasok na kayo don - may food! Maubusan kayo ni rap! hahaha"

and she went back to her circle by the steps.

"DUUDE! whaddup?"

Rap said with a dumb look on his face. Jake and I looked at each other and yelled;

"DRUNK!"

And we were laughing our ass off.

Jake offered to get me a punch,

"Okay lang ano ka ba, i'll come with."

Mahirap lumusot ha, masikip. Thank God wala ang mom and dad ni bianx, kundi baka maging pabasa to.

Jake handed me a glass of punch, i took a sip

"Ang tapang,"

I said with my Sukang Silver Swan face.

Biniro niya pa ako,

"Ikaw natatapangan?! huwaw! ahahaha"

God. He is so fine.. I wish he was mine.. *SNAP OUT OF IT!* and i doozed back to reality.

"Ungas! ahaha teka nga, have you seen my HELGA anywhere?"

come on! magreact ka!

"I think nakita ko siya sa may kitchen,"

Manhid

"oh ok, i'll go say hi nyaha!"

Walking away with my fake grin. I walked down the stairs and saw a blurs of faces. It's really not my night.

I can't take it anymore...but i can't say anything.. he's so happy with Gen..and I don't want to ruin that for him.

"Andy!"

Someone's calling me -

"Oh hey Mike, didn't know you were coming"

Si HELGA pala,

"Kahit ako hindi ko alam na pupunta ako e, haha hinila lang ako nila Jake"

Ano daw? nila Jake? funny he didn't mention that.

"Oo, jake told me to come. He called me kanina, nasa G4 daw siya ah."

He called Mike yet didn't answer any of my calls. JERK.

"ha? ah talaga? oo nga nasabi niya nga. So kanina pa kayo?"

Ask questions para kunyari interesado.

"Kind of, hinihintay kaya kita"

Ano daw? ay ay ay..am I hearing things or was he flirting with me?

"Ano?"

I said with my pa-virgin tone.

"I said, I was waiting for you, akala ko nga di ka na pupunta,"

Mejo kinilig naman ako sa mokong na to - errr pati ba naman dito! Cellphone parin hawak mo Jake! Ano ba yang Gen na yan SANGGOL?! Bilhan ko siya ng yaya e! "uh..Andy?"

Snap back to reality

"sorry..may naalala lang,"

"ok lang, nagulat ka ba?"

MEJO

"hindi naman ahaha"

He offered me chippy

"Have some, uh..I wanted to ask you something sana"

Scooping a handful of chippy

"hmmhmm.."

Chewing.

"Are you going out with anyone right now?"

Nasamid ako don.

"Ha? what made you ask that?"

He looked at me,

"because I want to have dinner with you"

Nagblush naman ako don

"uhm..Mike, you're a great guy and all..but pwede bang pagisipan ko muna?"

His eyes fell on the floor.

"Think away Andy, I'm in no hurry"

I can't handle thin air, I have enough of that already.

"uh - Mike punta lang ako don ha"

He nodded.

It's getting late,

it's 2 A.M na.

I need to go home na, nasan na ba si Patrocinyo//

THERE.

"Pat..i need to go na.. tara na bakla.."

he looked at me - bangag na ang gaga.

Teka - where's Jake?

I am not going home alone ng alas-dos ng madaling araw.

Checked the bathroom - wala.

Checked upstairs - wala.

Check the - ayun..

Anong gngwa nito sa labas?

"Jake,"

hindi lumingon

"-nong gusto mong gawin ko Hon? eh hindi nga ako makaalis. Alam mo naman sila Andy"

I cleared my throat,

lumingon si Jake

"Alam mo Jake, wag mo kaming sisihing mga kaibigan mo kung hindi namen makasundo yang bitch of a girlfriend mo!"

sabay walk out.

I can hear Gen's voice screaming.

fuck!

Teka - eh ano naman ngayon!

I was halfway up the steps when Jake caught up.

"Ano bang problema mo Andy?"

naniningkit ang mata ko jake!

"Anong problema ko? anong problema niyo ng girlfriend mo!"

Hawak parin ang fone niya.

"Bakit naman sinasali mo nanaman si Gen Andy?!"

sinisigawa niya na ako ngayon!

"abba! sinisigawan mo na ako ngayon Jake? wow..wow talaga!"

I'm getting pretty emotional –

“Pano ba naman ako hindi magtataas ng boses Andy eh kung ano ano nang lumalabas sa bibig mo,"

Ah ganon? sa bibig ko pala ha-

"Well you had no problem with my mouth whatsoever last month when you kissed me!" oh no.

did i just say that out loud?

"Andy.."

Palapit siya sakin

"No Jake, don't. Not again. I've had enough of this. Enough of you. I can't always be your safety net. Gusto ko ring sumaya."

and i walked away.

Pumunta ako sa taas..

I cried my eyes out.

I heard Jake's car drove away - tanginang yon iniwan talaga ako!

Pano ako uuwi nito gabi na masyad-- before i knew it Mike was in front of me

"Coffee, Ms. Andy?"

He was holding a mug of coffee and a pillow with a faint smile on his face "Mike…sorry...don't worry I'm ok"

He handed me the coffee and fluffed the pillow

"Okey ka dyan, I heard you and Jake - kung ikaw ako hindi ako magiging ok"

Those words...for some reason bumigat ang puso ko..

I can't hold back the tears anymore..

it won't stop…

He sat beside me habang binigay sakin yung pillow..

"now Ms. Andy...about dinner.."

Maya maya pa ay nasa kalagitnaan na sila papunta sa bahay nila nang makita ni Poy na may sumusunod sa kanilang anino. Sinenyasan niya si Menggai na bilisan ang lakad pero abala ito sa pagkain ng pansit na pinabaon ni Isay. Hinawakan nia ang kapatid sa kamay at kumaripas sila ng takbo. Ang lakas ng kabog ng kanyang dibdib. Baka mga TBS yun ah! Nakaaway ko si Jomar nung isang araw puta baka reresbakan ako! Kailangan kong makatakbo! Kailangan kong mailigtas si Menggai!

Ika-Siyam na Yugto

Napabalikwas siya sa pagkakahiga ng narinig ang magtataho.

Pagdating niya sa palengke ay nagkakagulo, may mga taong nagkukumpulan malapit sa Bakery. Pumunta siya at nagusisa. "Boss, boss, anong nangyari?" umiiling iling na sinagot ng isang nakakatandang kargador si Poy "Si Ambet napagtripan - ayun nilagyan ng gripo sa tagiliran." "Sino daw po ang sumaksak?" "Ewan - TBS daw kagabi inabangan" Gayon nalamang ang lakas ng tibok ng puso ni Poy. Ako dapat yan.. ako dapat ang nasaksak..

Matangkad si Menggai para sa isang Dose anyos. Marahil dahil nagmana siya sa kanyang ama na talaga namang matangkad. Nakuha niya ang mata ng kanyang ina at ilong ng ama sa madaling salita ay maganda siya. "Menggai!!! Hindi ka pa ba tapos diyan?!!" Nagmamadali siyang lumabas ng bahay "Aalis na po nay!!"
